Kindly help me. Here is my scenario we are using PIX firewall and want to place ISA server in dmz of PIX, ISA server will be member of running domain, and install on single nic. Second nic will be used for Intra-Array communication. I have to create ISA Array on NLB with CSS replication well all publishing server is placed in private network.

My question is kindly tell me best configuration to be applied on ISA if it is DMZ on single nic.
second is when i enable NLB on the network and change the ip address of Intra-Array communication on both servers in communication tab. After that the second array is not contact with storage server and shows and error in configuration status.

Hi,
Having an ISA Server configured with Single NIC "as Proxy Server / Cache Server" you are not making the use of all ISA Server Features.

The best things to do for ISA are:

  1. Configure it with 2 Nics one is connected to the WAN and one is connect to the Internal Network "Corporate Network"
  2. Configure it with 2 Nics, one is connect to the Network Behind the Pix "Considered as External Interface" and configure the Internal Interface for your Corporate Network. That can be called "Back-to-Back Firewall Scenario"
  3. You can do this with the Enterprise Edition of ISA Server, but you will have to have 3 NICs, 1 for External, 1 for NLB and 1 for Corporate Network.
If you are configuring with NLB make sure that you are creating a Seprate Network for the NLB considerd as a Premiter Network with the Network Range of NLB Network.

Make sure your DNS Configuration from the Array, the hosts and the CSS are correct before deploying the Host to the CSS. otherwise, you will be running with a problem.

Once, the Arrays are connected to the Array you specify, then you can specify which IP Address each array must use to communicate with the other hosts.
