I have a workstation with eMule behind an ISA 2004 server, what server publishing policies can I create to redirect incoming "eMule" traffic to it so that I can avoid LowIDs?

Hi VanAlex,

What protocols does that application use?

Thanks!

I think that is enough to publish your local computer as a server with TCP port 4662.
So, listen tcp4662 on external NIC and route to localnet box, also don't forget to open outbound rule according to:
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/help.cgi?l=1&rm=show_entries&cat_id=246

You need this :

tcp4662
and
udp4672

publish those as servers to your internal network mapping them to your emule client.

Kind regards,
Lex P.

I have the same problem with you. (running emule on a client behind ISA, but getting LowID).
When I try to write a Server Publishing Rule (SPR) (i have already done Packet Filtering on all UDP and TCP ports to the specific client), it asks 2 IPs: one Internal, one external. Internal is OK. But when I write the external, which is our ISA Server's external IP I guess, which begins with 212.174.bla.bla, it says: "The IP address is not defined on this array. Please select the IP address from the array's external IPs."
When I enter this IP in LAT, and try writing the SPR again, this time it says: "The IP address specified is not external."
I am going slightly mad, as this is my 8th day trying to solve this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. I may even go out with you one night [Smile] )

I WANT HIGH ID TOO!

Hi.
It is possible to use emule with HighID even without publishing. With publishing only one client can use emule at a time.
Every client should assign unique tcp port in emule config (everyone can't use 4662). And then add file wspcfg.ini in emule folder with following contents:

[emule]
ServerBindTcpPorts=xxxxx

where xxxxx - tcp port chosen in emule config.
It works in our network. Hope this'll help someone.
