Hi,

I did some changes with fwctool.exe, but wants to undo them.

This is wat I did :
1. On the PC : fwctool.exe enable /app outlook
2. did some things and concluded  that i'd better enabled it on the server
3. On ISAserver : open the properties of the Firewall Client settings, tab Application settings.  Changed outlook disable from 1 to 0.

Now I want to remove the setting I made on the PC, but I don't know how.

When I type "fwctool.exe PrintUserConfig" I always get :

FwcTool version 4.0.3442
Firewall Client for ISA Server support tool
Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

Action:         Print user configuration
    [Common]
   Disable:                       No
   Autodetect:                    Disabled
   Configured server:             proxy
   Server port:                   0

    [outlook.exe]
   Disable:                       Yes

What can I do ?

No.  It simply disables the FWC for outlook (as a local setting).

I want it to have no setting at all, so that the client follows the setting from the ISA server, which is at this moment 'disabled' but later perhaps 'enabled'.

In the client,
1)go to:

c:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Firewall Client 2004

2)
Edit application.ini to remove the
" [outlook.exe]
   Disable:                       Yes"
entry (or just delete the file)

3)restart the firewall client service

I think it will work

Greetings

It works.  Thanks !

What I missed was :  restart the service "Firewall Client Agent".

I disabled en enabled the FWC, stopped the process, but only when I restarted the service it worked.
