We've upgraded some XPSP2 clients to IE7 and they are now seeing login prompts when authenticating to ISA as Web Proxy clients. We require all clients to authenticate and have NT and Basic Authentication enabled. IE 6 clients are not seeing the prompts. From what I've been reading, IE7 may be trying Kerberos and that may be an issue. Our Domain Policy for our LAN Manager authentication level is configured at the default, which is Send NTLM response only.

I'm wondering if I should change the Domain Policy perhaps to allow LM too?

After a bit of investigation, we've found that for the users who get the login prompt cannot authenticate with their login, but if I enter my own credentials, it goes through. I've been re-creating new domain accounts and that appears to have fixed it. Could this be a sign of a bad security token with the user object?
