Gday all. We have an ISA2006 site which aside from the below issue is working just fine. The problem essentially presents as those pesky yellow icon in the bottom left of the IE window with a message similar to 'Error on page'. Its most obvious to users of the virus known as facebook, and seems to prevent the IM functions of the site from working (for example). I have found that turning off ISA's caching works to resolve the issue, and I am wondering if anyone else has done further study into this issue and could offer suggestions which might enable me to retain the caching without the side effect of these broken websites?

Hi, create a cache rule to not cache requests for these web sites. Regards, Paulo Oliveira.

That is the obvious workaround, but I am looking to identify if there is a fix. If I have to get out the packet sniffer and set a port monitor I will, however I am assuming that (many) others have seen this already and have various degrees of solution. It happens for many sites, and using a cache rule will solve the issue for known affected sites, but will mean we are reactively solving it for unidentified sites as time progresses. I would sooner turn caching off entirely, but clearly there are many good reasons to leave it enabled. For the Aussie readers, www.jetstar.com.au fails to load the flight booking form on the left hand side, for facebook, its the popup IM component of the site. Refreshing the page often fixes the problem, which is why we found many resourceful users dont complain about it.

How many users do you have? Often, unless you have a very large number of users, caching benefit is sometime negligible and can potentially be turned off. Maybe you could disable it an do some testing, assuming you have a pretty decent internet connection of course...

Gday Jayse. Yeh, its currently turned off, and can probably be left off, however it does offer some niceties that make it worth solving, rather than working around. So still interested to learn what others have experienced, and done in same situation.
