hello all,
I got my SurfControl stop unexpectedly and I can't find out the error?
The Event Viewer says: (Error) An exception occurred during SurfControl Proxy Access control.
And an information says: The connection between Surfcontrol web filter and the ISA server has been lost.
Does anyone know the reson why the connection lost? /or is there any Surfcontrol patch?/ or why surfcontrol proxy access control timed out waiting for response from Surfcontrol web filter service.?

I have the same problem: I'm currently testing SWF5.5 with SP1 in a Windows 2003 SP2 and it crashes all the time.
The connection between the SurfControl Web Filter and the ISA server has been lost.
The SurfControl Web Filter Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 15 time(s).
Faulting application scoutsvc.exe, version 5.5.1.32, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0x0001bd02.
I don't know if there's some problem with SWF_sp1 or maybe is better if I apply the hotfixes one by one.

Good day,
I have the same problem and I'm unable to get help on this. On the whole Internet I only manage to find yourself that has the same problem. This has been sometime back. Did you find a solution for your problem or how did you resolve your issue?

Hello,
I have the same problem.
SurfControl also makes ISA Server unstable (MS Firewal service usualy doesn't startup automaticaly after rebooting)
Couldn't find solutiion.
Please Help!!!

Hi everybody,
I found solution.
You need to download 6 patches from surf control client support web site. But it will ask you for client code.
So if you have legal software you can download these patches.

I have always had good luck with SurfControl support. If you cannot find the information they are a good resource.
