We have a ISA 2004 server, with rules using Forms Based Authentication for OWA, routed through a Foundry Serveriron (ports 443 and port 80 open), that provided NLB to our two Exchange 2007 Client Access Servers. The issue is if I use ISA directly routed (using FBA) to the Exchange servers, it works fine. (authentication page publishes, allows authentication , and OWA is working). If I hit the Foundry Serveriron directly with a https OWA request (using a local hosts file to fake the client machine into thinking the foundry is now the OWA server), I get a Basic Authentication popup from the Exchange servers, which allows authentication and OWA is published directly from the Exchange servers. However, if I connect to OWA via the ISA server, I get a 408 page (operation timed out), and the ISA logs show that the connection is Failed with a : Status: 10060 A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not propertly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond. We have a rule in place to allow all traffic on 80 and 443 from the ISA server to the Exchange servers. Any ideas?
