I'm waiting for the ISA exam to be released just like everyone else, and hopefully I'm going to take it right away!

In comparison to the exam, I recently went to the Microsoft ISA 2004 Standard class 2824A. I will have to tell you that the class was EXCELLENT! I have never been to a better Microsoft class ever! (Maybee since the NT TCP/IP Class years ago)

The class really gets into using MS Virtual Machine 2004 for all of its lessons and practices. You have only one computer with 7 different Virtual Machines to learn from. They setup 2 domain controllers, 2 ISA servers (One member server and one workgroup using RADIUS), 1 member webserver, one web server acting as the internet, and one Windows XP Professional Vitrual Machine. All servers were with 2003, and all were virtual machines.

The lab computers were loaded with about 2 gig of RAM, and I could launch 4 to 5 VM's at once! Great learning experience!

I am so glad microsoft classrooms are starting to go to this technology for their learing enviorments. It made the class more intresting, as well as learnable.

What does this have to do with the Exam topic? Well, I believe that I can successfully pass the exam without issue leaving the class. For those who are looking into serious infrasturcture plans with ISA, or looking to really nail the exam, TAKE THIS CLASS!

One thing to note, there were no topics on ISA 2004 Enterprise Edition. MS claims they will be comming out with a 5th day to the class just on the Enterprise functionality.

Hi KR,

You bet! The class is pretty good, and the hands-on is great.

Good luck on the exam!

Thanks!
