ISA Firewall Service is not starting.

Hi All,
I have ISA 2006 installed on Windows 2003 SP2, It was all working fine but when yesterday we came in office to turn ISA machine ON the Firewall service was not started automatically and also MSSQL$MSFW service was not started automatically.
I went to event log > application log and found one error:

The Microsoft Firewall service depends on the MSSQL$MSFW service which failed to start because of the following error:

and when i try to start Microsoft Firewall service it says: " Could not start the Microsoft Firewall service on Local Computer.
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start."
also the other automatic service on which Microsoft Firewall service is dependant is stopped and when i try to start that service it says "The MSSQL$MSFW service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service."
No one in my comapny right now able to access internet through ISA! This thing is really getting us down...

Make sure ISA is able to write log files. You can check this on the logging tab of the monitoring section.

Hi Royh,
As I went through Monitoring > Logging and It is enabled for both Firewall and Webproxy logging, also log storage format is File(W3c extended log file format).
Also I have confirmed that disk has as much space to contain log files...but still no luck!
Still firewall service is not restarting?

Try changing the log type and reboot your machine...

Hi Royh,
I have tried by changing the log types(all three) and rebooted machine several times, Even changed the ISALogs directory location and rebooted machine. But still Microsoft Firewall service is not starting.. each time system restarts it throughs this event in system logs:

Try stutting down the ISA firewall, The SSQL and the other services that are in the ISA montoring -services. Stop these services, then stop the SSQL, reboot.

Hi Mates,
I tried every thing, disabled all services and restart the ISA machine again enabled and restart ISA machine.. Disabled NIC's of ISA machine and resarted the machine again enabled the NIC's and restarted machine..even i tried to repair ISA firewall by repairing from setup BUT NOTHING LED TO START THE ISA FIREWALL SERVICE.
Finally i took the configuration backup of ISA server and uninstalled ISA firewall completely and installed back again and restore the configuration backup... It worked.

Hi,
I had similar issue and ended up reinstalling ISA 2006. I had exported the configuration and imported it back after new install.

i am facing the same story, this is happening when ever i restart ISA 2006 server, and results in backing up ISA then un-install ISA then install and import or restore backup again.
nothing from the above solutions worked, this works 100%
the question here is why does this happens? why does the service stops working?

Make sure that the logging in the ISA is set to file , W3C.
And then modify the installation of the ISA and remove the Advance logging then reboot, and that's it
