I have a question for ISA 2006 installation. We will install 2 ISA server 2006 Enterprise Ed (array member server) in a workgroup environment. My plan is to install one server with "ISA server services + CSS", the other server will be with "ISA server services" ... will this work? Or do I need install CSS on a seperate server (if so, in total I will need 3 servers) ?
Because when I read Thomas' article http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/ISA-Server-2006-Installing-ISA-2006-Enterprise-Edition-beta-Unihomed-Workgroup-Configuration.html .... I don't understand the following "On the Setup Scenarios page, select the Install both ISA Server services and Configuration Storage server option. Note that this option implies that you can install both ISA Server firewall services and the CSS at the same time, and then later install additional array members once you have this installed. This is not true. Use this option only if you plan to deploy a single member ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition array. If you plan to add additional array members later, then do not select this option. Since this article is focused on installing a single ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition unihomed device as a single member array, we will use this option. "
For this sentense, "Use this option only if you plan to deploy a single member ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition array" --- if I plan to deploy ISA server 2006 array with 2 member servers, which option should I select ? Can I setup one server with 'ISA server services + CSS" first, then add a member server with 'ISA server services" later on in a workgroup environment ?
