Hi all, I'd like to know what to set up to hav IWSS and ISA 2004 on the same server. I follow the how to from trend but it was for isa 2004 i went in iwss http configuration to switch to stand alone mode and listen port to 8090. In the HTTPPortPermissions.ini i add allow 8090 under allow 80 In isa i create a rule to allow http from localhost. I create a web chaining rule but i don't know what to enter and where. Can somebody help me please
I have encountered the same issue here too. However, from the Microsoft ISA forum, it seems that currently there's no way to house ISA 2004 and IWSS 2.0 in the same machine.
To go to the forum, visit http://www.microsoft.com/isaserver On your left side of the screen, select on Community -> Newgroups -> ISA Configuration Search on TrendMicro under ISA Configuration
However, if you separate IWSS and ISA 2004 into 2 machines, the Web Chaining rule will work!
To know how to configure the web chaining rule, go to Create New Web Chaining Rule, it will take you through a wizard.
First give the rule a name, then for Web Chaining Rule Destination, click on Add -> under Network -> Select External, and click on "Add". Click Next you will come to Request Action, select "Redirect request to a specified upstream server, then click "Next". You will ask to input the upstream server's IP address or name. Make sure your HTTP port is 8090 as specified in your previous post. Next all the way to finish the wizard. Once completed, right click on the rule and select on Properties. Go to Action Tab and click on Settings button for the Upstream server, uncheck the "Automatically poll configuration". Click apply and OK to exit.
If you happen to make IWSS and ISA 2004 work in the same machine, do let me know too! Thanks!
