Hello All,

I am very new to the whole ISA server scenario and am having one hell of a problem trying to publish my internal exchange 2003 server running on Server 2003. I can publish my web sites, control internet access etc but still to no avail with exchange.

Following as many guides as I can find (usually ISA 2000), I still find that I can not either receive (nothing arrives ever) or send emails (everything stays stuck in the exchange queue with the message "Unable to bind to the destination server in DNS").

I am sure it is a DNS problem. Basically does anyone have or know the location of an idiot's guide to configuring dns and mail server publishing?

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

I'll put up a basic Exchange publshing article today. However, you'll have to wait a few weeks for the complete update to the ISA Server 2004/Exchange Kit.

HTH,
Tom

Gents,

Thank you for your prompt replies. I have now managed to send and receive email. Not sure whether I have set this up correctly or not.
After publishing the mail server I setup a new access rule that allows the SMTP protocol from 'internal' to 'external' for all users.

I will now spend my time reading the guide you have suggested.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

I put up a OWA publishing article today. Let me know if there are other aspects of publishing you'd like to see too. The OWA always seems to be the most problematic, esp. the certificate issues.
