Ok this could be long...
Here's my setup:
Win2K Adv Server - All Updated. Member on Domain. Two NIC cards - One for SDSL line and the other for internal network. ISA2K4 Beta
I'm following the 'Get Up and Running' tutorial.
Ok, my problem begins when installing ISA2K4. When I get to the part of the install that asks to specify the internal network I click on the Add button then the Configure Internal Network button, uncheck the add private network box then select my internal LAN card, hit ok and when it shows the internal address range, the range is for the external NIC not the internal. The wierd part is that when I checked the box to select the internal LAN card it showed the internal address next to it.
My NIC cards are configured as:
External NIC (SDSL line) - setup with dsl address information.
Internal NIC - setup with a static IP for my 192.168.x.x address range.
There's more:
I continued the install by manually entering my network address range.
When I start the management console and setup everything according to the tutorial, I can not connect anyone to the internet.
Why would the internal NIC show the external NIC address range? Even under the management console, if I select the internal NIC it still gives me the external address range, but if I select the external NIC it shows the internal address range.
I'm really stumped. HELP!

Hi ISA,
That is very odd! I haven't seen that yet. The SDSL line doesn't use an Ethernet kludge like PPPoE or VPN to anything like that to connect to the ISP?
Thanks! Tom

No, the SDSL line has a static ip. This is really driving me nuts. I re-installed ISA2K4 twice with the same results. I'm running out of things to try. The only other thing I can think of starting from scratch and re-installing ADV.Server.
I'll give it one more day to see if anyone has any other suggestions.
Thanks.

Hi ISA,
Can you send me your config backup file? I can take a look at what you're doing and see if there's an explanation.
Thanks! Tom
