Hi!

We're trying to use ISA 2004 as a HTTP Proxy Server.
ISA is configured with the single NIC template and a firewall rule permitting FTP, HTTP and HTTPS for a specified domain local group.
The internal network is configured with the HTTP Proxy on Port 8080.
We created a web chaining rule to our gateway proxy excluding a URL set which is our intranet.

The configuration is basically working, albeit with some problems:
Every Request by an Internet Explorer (or other Browser) client results in a log entry of type "connection denied" with the target being the ISA Server itself on port 8080 (the proxy port) and user "anonymous".
These entries are always followed by successful connections to the real target, where the log lists the actual Windows User as 'user'.
Do I have to create a special Firewall rule to enable client connections to the proxy or is this some strange IE behaviour ?
