Hello, I have been running the 180 days trial version of ISA Server 2006 and I'm trying to upgrade it to the full version using an open license. I keep getting the following error when I attempt to upgrade to the standard version of ISA Server 2006: " Internal Error 2771. MSFirewall_Management".
Either you are installing the wrong key on wrong version OR you aren't using the same credentials which you used when you initially installed ISA Server....

Hi Inderjeet! I haven't even installed any key yet. Everything is Standard Edition ( trial and full version). As far as the credentials are concerned, I'm definitely using the same account for the upgrade. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and that's the frustrating part. :( Thanks for your feedback though.
From the below logs it seems that there is a media mismatch
10:24:34 INFO: Activating firewall installation program 10:24:34 INFO: Previous installation has package code {BC81B742-101B-4F9A-BF13-12E98F7ED913}. This installation has package code {41649EB9-E6B0-4169-8361-73BD89638770}
If you aren't sure that you are using the same media as it was previously used then best bet is to export the configuration and Re-install the ISA from the media you have. Then import the configuration back on the same server

Hi Inderjeet! Happy New Year 2009 to you and to everybody in this forum!
Thanks for tracking down the source of my headache. I appreciate that. For the first install ( 180 days trial), I downloaded a copy of the ISA Server 2006 Standard Edition from microsoft.com and installed it. For this upgrade, I thought that I could just go into my current install and input the license I got from Microsoft but it turns out that there is no way to do that. I already exported my configuration but I would hate to re-install everything.But if that's the only option then I'm out of luck. Why Microsoft didn't allow the upgrade to the full version by giving users the possibility to enter the license as it's the case in other products? Any particular idea behind that?
