My roaming users require internet access when they dialin or vpn into the ISA server. I need authentication turned on for Outgoing Web Requests in order to enforce ISA Policies that I have setup. My networks internal IP addresess are Class A assigned through DHCP and I have Static Pool Adresses of Class B for Dial in and VPN Clients. All roaming users can only gain access to the internet providing that they have the Firewall Client installed and Authentication for Outgoing Web Requests is turned off. As soon as I enable Authentication, my roaming users can no longer gain access to the internet after they have dialed in. I need to enable policies within ISA but also need to make sure the VP of the company has internet access when he dials in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi TPhillip,

I'm a bit confused on how you have the VPN client configuration set up. The clients should be given an IP address that is on the same network ID as the internal interface of the ISA Server from which they obtain their name servers configuration settings. At least that's how I do it and it works well.

You need to use the Firewall client for Internet access. Rather, configure the machines as Web Proxy clients and configure the settings as I described in my article on this issue at www.isaserver.org/shinder
