Hello guys, I have ISA 2004 SE and several hundred Firewall clients KB929556, vast majority of clients work well as Firewall clients. However, few clients have had problems lately. When a client is cofigured as a web proxy client, Internet Explorer 7 works fine; when I conigure it as a Firewall, it can't open web pages even if its icon in the tray shows green arrow. ISA log shows that those Firewall clients pass authentification and rules and then fail. A client initiates connection with error code 0x0 and after a while it closes connection with error code 0x80074e25 FWX_E_TIMEOUT. Status: A connection was terminated because it was idle for more than the timeout period, or the timeout on an uncompleted action expired. Processing time: 60203ms Any ideas?

Are the firewall clients configured to just resolve the netbios name in "Firewall client" configuration in the ISA server management console? This problem is done very often and it's prefered that you use DNS FQDN name of the ISA server in the configuration. To enable Firewall client support - In the Forefront TMG Management console, click Networking.
- On the details pane, click the Networks tab.
- Right-click the required network, and then click Properties.
- On the Firewall Clients tab, do the following:
- To enable the network to listen for Firewall client requests, select Enable Firewall client support for this network.
- In Name, specify the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Forefront TMG server to which Firewall clients should make requests. Ensure that there is a DNS entry available for clients to resolve the name. Otherwise, specify an IP address.
