What I want to do is use netmeeting to talk with others over the Internet.
If possible, I would very much like it if I could obtain a little info on where, what, how I should configure me ISA server or even if what I'm doing is possible....
The deal
Already have a network with a firewall, using NAT.
I put thew ISA server on the outside and gave it a public address., turned off most services except h.323 gateway..
ran netmeeting on a XP PC on the inside, set it up to log into the gateway and hey presto it I came up as a dynamic alias....
Did the same from another XP PC using a dial up modem and it came up as a dynamic as well, when I went to make a call, it couldn't do it for dyamic users.... so I created a static alias and tried to log in, immediately it said gateway connection refused., I've tried moving the inside PC to the same subnet as the ISA server and still no luck. now when I put any old account name as a test on in netmeeting, I get the same message....
Should I be setting up destination and some IP rules..., can I ever get this working, is there something I'm crutialy missing....
you help to my above problem would be greatly appriciated.
Many thanks
Alex
P.S it's a eval download of ISA server standard Ed. just though I'd see if I can get it working before forking out the cash....
