I'm having an issue with Windows Messenger (not MSN Messenger)

I have an access rule to allow "all users" to access the protocol MSN (port TPC 1863 outbound), but when the clients are trying to get connectes they have an access error message that said that the clients couldnīt get connected.

checking the log file there is a blocked connection with the ip address of the client that initiates the connection but in the username field there is an: "anonymous"

i have an integrated authentication configured and the Require all users to authenticate selected.

if i create an access list in my cisco pix allowing the access to the tcp port 1863 we could get connected succesfully.

anyone with this same issue?

pd: i already check this http://www.microsoft.com/technet/isa/2004/plan/tb_logging.mspx#LogsShowRequestsfromAnonymousUsers

Review this article for messengar

http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Configuring-ISA-Server-2006-HTTP-Filter.html

As far as authentication, remove require all users to authenticate from your filter, leave integrated as you have it.

Use the "all authenticate users" group and apply it to your firewall access rule.
The anonymous connections that you are seeing are related to your browser, which is normal in this case. Once you access a website (after your user has been authenticated based on your rule) then you should see the user name in your logs.
