Hi,

I would like to see support LDAP for web proxy connections. I know radius is available but its still limited and also supports only basic authentication, which means users get a box when they browse the net. Integrated authentication is only available/effective when isa server is a member of domain.

I've tested the beta of isa server 2006 and the option is sadly not there, any chance in the future?

Hi Tom,

Yeah this will make ISA a really flexible firewall for any kind of scenarios. Lets also hope they do the 1:1 NAT feature as well! :)

Hi Ash,

It would be nice, but I don't think is required, because you can join the ISA firewall to the domain and not worry about it.

Hi Tom,

I think you misunderstood me, i'm happy to join the isa to the domain but we have situation where we have two completely seperate domains and there is no trust between them. So if isa is joined to one domain, that's fine you can use the integrated authentication but the other domain will be left to just normal rule i.e. All users, unless you use RADIUS which of courses cause the logon prompt because of the basic credentials.

The reason i mentioned it that in 2006 they implemented LDAP for web publishing but not for web proxy (forward).

Hi,

I may be wrong, but I think LDAP is an overall support in ISA Server 2006. You should be able to use it on every Access Rule.

No, LDAP authentication is supported only for Web Publishing Rules.
