Hi,
I got a request from one of our developers to do something with Link Translation. As I was checking out ISA2004 Beta, I managed to let it work, but not entirely the way we want to.
Original URL: http://www.domain.com/subdir1/subdir2 Desired Translation: http://www.domain.com/subdir2
(Where subdir1 is static, and subdir2 dynamic)
In the Link Translation tab I added a Dictionary entry, containing the following:
Replace this text: [/subdir1/subdir2]
With this text [/subdir2]
This way, the translation works ok, but for every sub-site we add, we have to add a Dictionary entry. The thing I tried to do with common sense, is:
Replace this text: [/subdir1]
With this text [/]
But this doesn't seem to work. My thoughts on this do say that it should work, logically seen. So my question is, is this a bug? Is it a known issue? Or am I just plain wrong?
Regards,
Camille

Hi Camille,
Check the Help file on how the Link Translator defines terminating characters. I think this is how its supposed to work.
HTH, Tom
