How to run this script?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2452980

Hi,

have you tried this?
quote:

  1. Copy and paste this script to a .txt file that is created by using Notepad, and save the file.
  2. Rename the file to SetTcpBufferSize.vbs.
  3. Open an administrative Command Prompt window, and then run the following command:

    cscript SetTcpBufferSize.vbs 17520

Regards,
Paulo Oliveira.

Does it say which line is causing the error? Sometimes quotes (single ou double) marks gives some headache and you have to retype them.

Regards,
Paulo Oliveira.

Try it like this(basically remove the blank lines after _ from the WScript.Echo ... ):
(I have to quote the script, the code function on this forum seems to be messed)

quote:

Set fpc = CreateObject("FPC.Root")

' fpc.ConnectToConfigurationStorageServer "CSSNAME", "USERNAME", "DOMAIN", "PASSWORD"

Set arr = fpc.GetContainingArray

Set policy = arr.ArrayPolicy

Set LLS = policy.LowLevelSettings

TcpBufferSize_before = LLS.TcpBufferSize

LLS.TcpBufferSize = WScript.Arguments(0)

WScript.Echo "Setting TcpBufferSize to " & CStr(LLS.TcpBufferSize) & _
", previous value: " & CStr(TcpBufferSize_before) & _
", Array name: " & arr.Name

policy.Save

WScript.Echo "Saved, waiting for array to reload..."

arr.WaitForReload

WScript.Echo "Done."

I got it, you need to combine the 3 lines and remove the underscore;

WScript.Echo "Setting TcpBufferSize to " & CStr(LLS.TcpBufferSize) & ", previous value: " & CStr(TcpBufferSize_before) & ", Array name: " & arr.Name

Let me know if it resolved your issue, for me it hasn't, it seems to be an issue with NLB. When I have NLB enabled my upload speed is pretty sad but when NLB is not configured it's about right.

I'm going to try manually adding the 2 registry values and see if that does anything. I'm using TMG 2010 Ent, w/SP1 Update 1 and Rollups 1 and 2

I ended up removing the NLB on the Internal interface and adding a second route to my switch with a metric of 255, configuring wpad to fall back to the other server if the first is down for any reason.

Internet access was an after thought, it's a hosting company and we use TMG for publishing resources. Everything works fine on the External NICs that use NLB so it could be a switch issue.

I'd tried setting the NICs and switch ports to 1Gig Full with no resolution. The above resolved the issue lol 2 routes out to the internet:)
