Hi,

I am starting to use MS-ISA & am a little confused about its management of "Computers" vs "Computer Sets" & the resultant Grouping of like computers.

I can't understand why I define servers to "Computers" (eg Server1: 10.1.1.1 & Server2: 10.1.1.2 & Server3:10.1.1.3) & then have to define them again (separately) in a "Computer Set" (eg SQL-Servers: Server1-10.1.1.1, Server2-10.1.1.2) and again (separately) in another "Computer Set" (eg LDAP-Servers: Server1-10.1.1.1, Server-3-10.1.1.3).

Doesn't MS-ISA allow the reuse of definitions into Groups??  The implication of this is that if I change (or delete) a Server, I will have to go through every single definition looking for possible & necessary changes.

Am I missing something??  I am used to Juniper FW Appliances where I can define an entity once & then add it to as many functional groups as necessary.  If I change the definition for the entity (or delete it), all of the Groups are immediately "updated".

Would be nice if we could. This has been a DCR for quite some time.
