While ISA 2004 is 4000 times better than ISA 2000 especially in terms of logging, but it can do a lot better. "[Big

I especially notice it because we have some offices on Checkpoint and some on ISA 2004. The amount of detailed logging provided by checkpoint is exceptional.

All ISA gives is denied or accepted, but not the details of why it was denied, which can seriously hamper troubleshooting, especially when VPN tunnels are involved.

Wish that MS releases some kind of service /feature pack which will greatly improve the logging features of ISA2004, which is the need of the day. "[Big

Hi Prem,

It does give you reasons. Have you enabled those columns yet? Make sure you buy our book so you learn how to use the logging feature! [Wink]

Hi Tom,

Yes i think I have enabled all the parameters for logging. The tab does have an option to add more columns to the logging console. I did add the error information column and all i get is status codes, which dont provide much information

Am i on the right track, or were you talking about some other logging that needs to be enabled [Big Grin]
