Netmeeting - Video & audio but no chat / data? - 2.Aug.2002 10:00:00 AM
Configured H323 filter, protocol rule, ISA gatekeeper and netmeeting clients as per Learning Zone article on configuring Netmeeting (basic scenario). Have verified gatekeeper is configured to allow audio, video and T.120.
Am hosting meeting on a system inside the ISA server network, and making call from an external Internet client (standard dial-up connection for testing at this stage).
Call connects fine from the Internet based client, and I can receive video and audio, but the "Chat" application does not start up automatically as per normal. If I start it manually it comes up as "Not in a call" despite the fact that the call is active for audio and video. Call shows up fine in "Active calls" under the H323 gatekeeper node.
Only the client hosting the call has a camera attached. Also, I notice that netstat -na on the ISA server only shows up tcp port 1720 not other ports associated with netmeeting function?

In response, the netmeeting "server" system behind the ISA server has unrestricted outbound access (i.e. Site & Content + Protocol rules as you specify in your post). The "connecting" client is comming in over a dial-up Internet connection so should have no retrictions. Have also tried connecting from clients within a remote corporate office with the same result?
