I had a quick question about using ISA Server with Network Load Balancing and wanted to see if anyone has implemented this.

I have an IIS server with 5 IPs bound to its NIC. The server runs 5 different web sites, each configured with a separate IP address.

I am looking into using Microsoft Network Load Balancing to make a virtual cluster of the IIS server. But I can only configure Network Load Balancing with 1 IP. Can ISA Server give the ability to publish rules so that user requests to the 5 different web sites can be directed to the same IP with different ports?

I would like to change the web site configuration so that all sites are using the same IP but different ports. But I do not want users to have to enter in a different port number(from 80) to access the web site.

Can ISA server be set up so that it can redirect as needed?

Don't know about Load Balancing but you can easily get all your web sites on one IP address with host headers.

If you click on the properties of your web site, then on the first page click 'Advanced...' you can type in the name of the website ie. www.web1.com, www.web2.com. If you have a different name for each web site then IIS works out what name your user typed in and directs them to that website. This way they can all run on the same IP address and same port.

Don't know if this helps but it's another option.
