Hi Tarek,

isn't that an old one?

I've seen already:
- Description of the ISA Server 2004 hotfix package: June 6, 2006 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;920716). You definitely need this one to solve the Direct Access problem in SP2 (http://blogs.isaserver.org/pouseele/2006/07/21/solving-the-directly-access-these-servers-or-domains-issue-in-isa-server-2004-sp2/)
- Description of the ISA Server 2004 hotfix package: July 6, 2006 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;921937)
- Description of the ISA Server 2004 hotfix package: July 27, 2006 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;923330)
- ???

so this hotfix 919621 is the same as 920716 ?? or what

Hi Tarek,

as far as I can tell from looking at the file versions numbers, every subsequent hotfix package add some fixes to the previous one. So KB923330 should contain all the fixes specified in KB921937 and 920716.

Hi Stefaan,

You stated that the hotfix 920716 that solves the direct access problem, does that mean we don't need to have the / and * as you described in your blog - http://blogs.isaserver.org/pouseele/2006/07/21/solving-the-directly-access-these-servers-or-domains-issue-in-isa-server-2004-sp2/ after applying this fix or is the information you suggested in the blog still valid after the hotfix (direct access problem).

Hi Ashok,

as stated in my blog, you have to do two things:

1. install first the ISA Server 2004 hotfix package: June 6, 2006 or any later hotfix package.

2. specify the destinations as a URL instead of as an FQDN.

So, the URL thing *is* the solution which is enabled by that hotfix package.
