Hello.,

How many VPN clients/conections can i have in a ISA Server, the clients will use ISA to acess the internet but in a VPN fashion rather then a proxy server, i will have two servers with the same configuration and they will work with NLB, this are the servers configuration:

Software

Windows Server 2003 Standart Edition x64
ISA Server 2006 Enterprise Edition

Hardware

Intel 5000 P
Two Quad-Core Xeon E5320 1.86 Ghz
4 GB FB-DIMM 667 Mhz
Two Raid 1 2x74 GB SATA 10000 rpm's
2 NICS

With log and configuration files being stored on another server, also will use a internal DNS and DHCP server.

Thanks.,

Alex

Hi,

according to Tom's book : when the ISA firewall is installed on the Enterprise version of Windows Server 2003, you can create over 16,000 PPTP connections and over 30,000 L2TP/IPSec VPN connections to the ISA firewall

HTH,
Tarek

Hello.,

I´m limiting the VPN users to only the declared devices/MAC address using the DHCP server, to avoid VPN users giving the account details to others users, the VPN Client only have a valid IP configuration if he use the device with the MAC address supplied, by giving him a IP Reservation on the DHCP, is any other way of doing a similar task?

Thanks.,

Alex

I´m already using the arp for providing extra security for VPN clients that have a fixed IP, when they try to establish the VPN Connection, i´m trying to find a soluction to isolate the user´s access, some users will use two devices at the same time, PC and PDA, and i don´t want them sharing their account details with other users, and i´m trying not use PKI...
