I have recently performed a domain migration and also upgraded my Exchange from 2003 to 2007. I have configured OWA with forms based authentication and have also made sure it is setup on Exchange 2007 correctly. When users try to access OWA from off-campus, it states that they cannot login to ISA server and instead of the login page showing Exchange 2007, it shows Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration 2006. Obviously, I have a ISA 2006 server and am using basic authentication on both ends with a thawte certificate. Internally, things are working fine. I am stumped.

Thanks for the reply. I tried setting basic authentication on Exchange and FBA on ISA per the link but it still states 'cannot login to ISA server' after entering in a username and password. I checked the ISA log and it shows connection denied saying it could not authenticate against web server. Internal clients can login just fine but it seems like ISA is not passing the credentials to Exchange.

Thanks again for replying. I think the problem may actually be with Exchange 2007. Prior to the migration, I has just setup my new Exchange 2007 server on Server 2008 and tested Outlook connections with an Outlook 2007 client. Some workstations could connect others could not and were being prompted for credentials. I thought this was a DNS related issue with both domains and the two trust that existed. After migration, the problem still existed even after removing the trust and moving remaining services to new domain. I had to add the trust again in order for some Outlook clients to even connect. The strange thing I am finding out is that when accessing OWA externally, it does not take my username and password on the new domain but if I enter the old one, it will work even though it is pointing at my Exchange 2007 server and the OWA login screen is clearly 2007. This is going to be out of the realm of this forum but if you know anything about this, please let me know.
