hello

in isa2k u could do an ip packetfilter to allow access from internet to the isaserver itself. for example if u run a ftp server on the isa. now i cannot find packetfilter option and what i did is to publish the ftp server on the isa second network interface. this works but i think this is not the correct solution. maybe someone knows how this can be done? thanks ;-)

All you have to do is make a firewall policy to allow ftp for the local host to external

Hi Cko,

To open access to the ISA firewall itself, use the local host destination.

yes, i found the way. but its a little confusing, that i must use an outbound protocol definition to let traffic in... thats why i used server publishing first.

Hi Cko,

Yes, that got me when I started using ISA2004 too. Don't worry, you'll get used to it and it'll start making sense after using ISA2004 for a while.

Thanks!
Tom
