Hi list,

Why can't XP client subnet not be the same as server internal subnet ?
My XP client is on 192.168.0.X subnet and can connect to the server with PPTP vpn but it can't access any internal ip.
With a Vista client PPTP vpn also connects and can access internal IPs.

Is there a way to configure something or do I have to change the subnets.

Hi,

For ISA Server, there is no difference between clients ( xp or vista ) , if one is able to connect then the other should work as well.

How are you assigning ips to your vpn client ?

have you created rules on your ISA Serve to allow vpn clients to communicate with Internal Network ?

Hi elmajdal,

Thanks for your help, I am assigning ips with the DHCP server on a SBS 2003 R2 server.
The différence may occur on the VPN client side, because I am using the same login and password for the VPN connection and it works with VISTA and doesn't work with XP client.

And it also works with the XP client if it isn't on the same subnet.

Hi Rafael,
Maybe the difference can be found in the default routing table of Vista vs default routing table XP ?
You can take a look here, to find some directions:
