I appear to have a strange condition which first arose after a reboot.

On an ISA server, which also serves as a RRAS server for PPTP clients, the packet filters seem to have suddenly and without configuration change stopped working. I have noticed the following conditions:

-The PPTP packet filter does not work, despite the fact that it previously worked with the same configuration
-I breifly created a telnet packet filter and turned on the service to see if a new packet filter would work--it did not

However,

If I create an "all any" packet filter (done very breifly, all ports, all remote computers, allow all transmissions) this packet filter works and both pptp and telnet are able to get through.

Any thoughts on this puzzling condition? No changes were made to the ISA config for quite sometime before the condition occured, no odd event log alerts or ISA alerts.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
