We have a basic setup, single external network 2 internal networks.

From the ISA server I can't connect to ANYTHING on port 25, on either external or internal networks. Using telnet I get "connection failed" instantly. I tried running ethereal and it doesn't even show an attempt at connecting.

I've setup a server publishing rule, if i try to connect to the ISA server's external IP from a different machine itn opens the connection nothing else, no welcome message from the SMTP server.

I check the IP Filter and Firewall logs, both have no log of accepting or rejecting my attempts to telnet into the mail server

Anyone got a clue whats happening?
If I try to connect to the ISA server's remote IP from itself I can "connection failed"

nevermind, found the issue, seems the other other guy I work with upgraded mcafeee to ver8 which includes a firewall, no wonder ISA wasn't showing anything [Smile]
