I'm trying to publish an internal SFTP server for my company and I having issues. The SFTP server is operational from the internal LAN.

I have created a server publishing rule to publish this internal server on port 22. I believe I have set up everything correctly, however, the connections are not making it back to my server.

Does ISA publish servers transparently?

Anyone try publishing an SFTP server before?

Hi rfleites,

make sure you use the SSH Server protocol (TCP port 22 inbound) in the server publishing rule and that the internal server is configured as a SecureNAT client only.

How do you set up the ISA rule to be SecureNAT?

Hi rfleites,

in a simple internal network (no routers), a SecureNAT client has the ISA primary internal IP as its default gateway. In a more complex internal network, check out http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Designing_An_ISA_Server_Solution_on_a_Complex_Network.html .
