I am currently running ISA server 2006, configured to use OWA, Exchange ActiveSync, and Outlook RPC/HTTP(s). All of which work great, however I am looking to publish a TS website using Windows 2008 server. Does anyone have any information on how to accomplish this? I saw an acrticle posted using ISA Server 2004 and Windows 2003 TS RDC but that doesn't really apply here. I tried to go ahead and publish the site, but when configuring an SSL listener I received a message that one already exists for the HTTPS port. Is this something that will be addressed in the next flavor of ISA Server which looks to be Microsoft ForeFront? Or is there a way to accomplish this now? Any guidance is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi J, Are you wanting to publish the TS gateway? If so, you need to use the RPC/HTTP Publishing Wizard that you typically use for Exchange. Remember, you might need to use different listeners based on your authentication requirements and also if the servers are using different names. HTH, Tom

Hi Tom, thanks for the response! Yes, I am wanting to publish TS Gateway so I can publish internal applications to the internet. Just to verify; since I already have all the Exchange features from the Exchange Web Client wizard bound to an SSL listener and a 3rd party certificate, I will need to generate another certificate for this site with a different common name and bind it to another listener because it is on a different server. Tom, since I'm creating another listener, how do I get around the error that a listener is already configured to use port 443? Do I need to create a new port for other SSL traffic?

Hi J, You need to make sure that each listener is configured to use a specific IP address or addresses. Often someone selects the all IP addresses on interface option, and then when a second listener is created, you see that error. Yes, you'll need a second listener, because you can't pre-auth at the ISA firewall for the TSG connection. HTH, Tom

Tom, Thanks for the information! I probably won't give this a try for awhile, as I have a few other projects to complete but I just wanted to get information ready on "how to" Appreciate all the articles you have written too, they truly are lifesavers. May I recommend writing one up on implementing TS08 web/gateway using ISA 2006 in the near future :) -J

Hi J, hi tom, i found this article after hours, it works perfekt regards christian Error in TS Gateway ISA Server Setup FYI we are fixing an error on page 60 of the Windows Server 2008 TS Gateway Server Step-By-Step Setup Guide as follows: 14. On the Authentication Delegation page, click No delegation, and client cannot authenticate directly, and then click Next. Change to: 14. On the Authentication Delegation page, click No delegation, and client can authenticate directly, and then click Next. Following the instructions for setting this ISA web publishing rule results in users being continually prompted for credentials when trying to connect. Sorry for the error, we are getting out the fix as soon as we can for both the online and download center versions.
