I have an Internal Web Server at 192.168.111.4 that has a web site on its IIS that's accessible internally (from the Internal clients) by http://webserver.mydomain.com:8090
I want to expose this server to the Internet, taking the following into consideration:
1. This web server's ASP.NET site actually authenticates automatically even the internal clients who try to access it by making sure they are members of the domain. Will that mean that if I publish it unsecured (not via SSL) it will allow the credentials to pass through on the clear?
2. I have ISA Server Std. 2006. I tried creating a web publishing rule and a web listener for the website and I believe I have the settings setup correctly. However, when I try to access it from an external site and I watch the ISA logs I get denied and the rule on which basis I was denied is actually the publishing rule! Where am I going wrong? I did the bridging to 8090 on the web listener...

Thank you,
Sammy

Hi Sammy

TOM: If you want to require authentication, then you should use SSL to SSL bridging.

TOM: Configure the Web Publishing Rule to redirect to 8090 on the internal network, but use the standard port on the Web listener.
HTH,
Tom
