Hi,
I have a ISA 2006 server with 2 network cards. I have configured the internal IP range as 172.20.1.x. The external interface connects to a router that has 2 subnets hanging off it. I want to publish an RDP connection from one of the external subnets to the other but it doesn't work.
I have published the server on port 50000. The ISA log shows unidentified traffic on port 50000 that is denied.
I can publish the internal servers and access these from the external machines.
Does anybody know if there is a technical reason why this won't work or have I made a configuration error?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have created a protocol with number 50000 and published it through the wizard and that ISA Server whining about this port number, this might be because you have a routing issue.
Please make sure from dashboard you do not have some sort of "bad configuration...spoofed network..." error type.

Also use BPA tool to make sure your ISA is installed properly.

I use exotic protol numbers as wel to publish all sort of apps and I have no problem, so definitly it works.
