Hi all,

I have a problem that I can't solve. I've checked in a few books and instructions on this forum, but these solutions don't seem to work.

This is my configuration (all VPC computers on 'local only' network mode):
- ISA 2006 computer (ROUTER) with 2 NICs (192.168.40.206/24 as external, 192.168.20.1/24 as internal).
- XP Pro SP2 computer (VPNC) with 192.168.40.114/24 IP address and 192.168.40.206 as gateway. This will be the remote desktop client.
- XP Pro SP2 computer (CASIOPEA) with 192.168.20.201/24 IP address and 192.168.20.1 as gateway. This will be the remote desktop computer to publish.

Ok, so I've tried two approaches to this. First one is to create a server publishing rule for CASIOPEA which publishes RDP protocol but listens on port 8989. The other one is to create a new protocol (RDP8989: TCP 8989 Inbound) and redirect output to 3389. Both of them publish 192.168.20.201 (CASIOPEA) as server.

Ok, then, thing is that remote desktop connection (192.168.40.206:8989 from VPNC) can't be done. When checking the log, what I get is three entries like this:
Protocol: Unidentified IP traffic
Client IP: 192.168.40.114
Destination IP: 192.168.40.206
Destination Port: 8989
Action: Denied connection
Rule: Default rule
So, it seems like my connection is not matching the first rule. What am I missing?

Thank you all in advance.

Cheers!

Also, make sure the RDP server is a SecureNAT client.

HTH,
Tom
