We have a domain controller (Server 2008) on our internal network and a Sever as our webserver(Server 2008) in our DMZ, when trying to join the webserver to the domain the RPC calls get blocked. I know this is an issue for ISA 2004 and is fixed in 2006 but does anyone know away to fix this? Thanks Everyone David

Hi thanks for the link, yes its x64. However we currently can't change to ISA 2006, does anyone know a way round by using ISA 2004. Also any update on the release date of the new Forefront? Thanks David

Jason, I haven't tried this setup so I'm pinging you for a bit of advice here..but have you tried this configuration? .. Is this an issue for those of us who also wanted to place RODC's into DMZ's for 2008... does using constrained RPC in any way mitigate this? Cheers, Mylo

Cheers, Mylo Hi Mylo, From what I can tell, if you have the right hotfixes then intradomain communications using ISA shouldn't be a problem. I haven't used a Win2k8 domain member behind ISA yet, but the guys in the above post seems to have things working fine... What is it about RODCs that make you think they wouldn't work? Cheers JJ

Hi Jason yes Server 2008 works fine behind ISA. This is the only trouble we have had joining a dmz server 2008 64bit machine to our 2008 dc 64bit. I HATE x64. Were now attempting to update to isa 2006 on another server and do a swap over to that server when its most quite. Looks like our only solution. But having troubles importing our rules from 2004, finaly have them imported but looks like ISA is just ignoring them and doing anything it likes. David

Just a quick update, mangaed to update to Isa 2006 and import all our rules, the server joined the domain just fine with sp1 installed. Looks like there was no way to do it on 2004, now just going through and updating our publishing rules. Thanks for all your help. David
