Hi Everyone!

I work for a fairly large College and we have around 1100 networked clients.  the problem is that tutors want to Disable / Enable internet access in some computer rooms.  They want to do this from the classroom itself.  Say for example in room 415 the tutor would want to simply log on then run a program that allows them to Disable / Enable internet access to all computers in that room.

We are running Windows 2003 Server with ISA Server 2004, and Windows 200 Pro on our clients.

Any help would be appreciated..

Many Thanks.

Hi D,

You can configure a computer set for that room and then create a rule to diable access.

Although, when I was a computer instructor, I just pulled the cable from the wall.

HTH,
Tom

I have IP reservations for all my training lab PCs and a deny rule that I can toggle at will.  I would NEVER allow an instructor access to toggle the rule, the instructor must request it in advance and call the NOC to toggle the rule.

I suppose if one was so inclined, they could setup a client/server program where the instuctor (client) could send the request to the server and the server could toggle the rule.
