Hello,

This is a repost, i posted on the ISA 2004 board by mistake:

I have been struggling with this for days. I have a problem with publishing a site running on an internal server's IIS.
I have followed all steps carefully (mentioned in a tutorial on this site and MS):
1) Configured an inbound web listener
2) Created a destination set using: www.mysite.com as the destination.
3) Created a publishing rule which passes the requested header name on to the published IIS.
4) Ensured that the machine which is running IIS is a SecureNAT client (gateway set to the ISA Server machine).
5) Created some local DNS records using the hosts file located under the Windows folder (www.mysite.com points to ISA machine's external interface IP).

My site is viewable under its host header name on the ISA machine and also on other PCs in the network. The ISA machine listens on its external interface on port 80. The problem is that when i request my site and after the page starts opening for some time i get this error:

" 404 not found - The requested item could not be located. (12028) "

The publishing rule seems to have some effect whatsoever, because, if I remove the publishing rule i get a 403 (forbidden) error instead of the previous one. I have also tried to serve my site on some port other than 80 but the same error pops up.

I wish someone could point me to some solution. The ISA server's configuration is pretty complicated and i did not have the opportunity to inspect it thoroughly. Is it possible that some IP packet filter or routing rule causes this error, what should i look for?

Thank you for taking the time to read my long post, any help appreciated.
