Hi Tom;

I just lost one of the ISA servers in one of the countries in Latin America that I support.

How that happened:

1).- The local server support employ installed a second dual port NIC interface.
2).- After that I have found on the Event Viewer several error pointing to the DNS intrusion detection DLL as corrupted.
3).- I tried all kinds of troubleshooting from installing SP1 again to copy the file from a second ISA standalone server for inbound VPN. Also, I tried unabling the DNS intrusion detection completly. None of the steps I followed bring the Microsoft Firewall Service back to live.

I move all the users to the standnalone ISA and I am keeping this ISA whit problems and will open next week a case with Microsoft to see what they can discover on it.

I have done this porcess of adding NIC interface on several ISAs servers 2000 and 2004 and never had this problem before.

Keep you posted what Microsoft will find.
