Dear All,

I have abrand new Exhcange 2003 installed on the same machine as ISA 2006 Standard. All policies works like a charm, but when I create the publising rule for the SMTP, i try to connect from the outside but the connection close 1 sec after I see the header of the exchange.

You can try with telnet mail.swissoncology.com 25

Any ideas? I tryied to disable also the filter but nothing changed....

Thanks

first make sure to create computer object for exchaneg and publish it as a server to server publishing rule and publish SMTP from ISA to exchange and then use the wizard to publish exchange 2003.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/isa/2006/deployment/exchange.mspx
this might help

Hi Midoo,
thank you very much for your reply!
I tryied but nothing happened.

I find that I have the same problem with publishing DNS...

Strange, in the event log the firewall tells me that the port is already in use..

On the DNS server I have selected to bind only to the internal address... also on the SMTP...

Do I miss something?
Thank you very much!

try to use secure port or change port settings and use another port other than 25.

just install ISA to seperate desktop..it deosn't require much resources.
it will be much easier to make ISA on seperate machine.

Yes I know, it's better, but my clients doesn't have a free desktop...
And the strange thing is that with ISA2004 everything works well.

take care that the server you are publishing now is the local host itself (i.e. isa) so maybe to apply the rules and include local host also.
