Hi all

I have a problem about the SMTP server publish.

We have a exchange 2000 server installed in the internal network. I install the ISA 2004 to publish the SMTP server on the Exchange 2000. I also enable the SMTP filter on the ISA 2004 as default setting.

One day, one of our customer call me and saying they can't get any email message from us and can't send any email message to us. Both site can send and receive email from others. We test the exchange server on both site with gmail.com, hotmai.com and yahoo.com. Also some other private email address. All others are fine.

Their email server is also exchange 2000. That one is behind the firewall.

This morning, they got someone come in and create another connector to our email server. That connector disable the advance command on the exchange server, some command like xexch50, etc.

After that, we can send and receive email from echo other.

I find that problem is baz of the SMTP filter. The SMTP filter can't recognize some smtp command from exchange 2000 and return as unknow command. The question is why only we can't get commucation between echo other except others.

I already disable the SMTP filter on the ISA server. But I don't understand why the smtp session droped after our smtp filter respond "unknow command"... The other thing I am consider is the ISA2004 still don't have new smtp command in the SMTP filter...

Any other people has the same problem?
