With outgoing mail now working, an issue has arisen with incoming mail. I am stumped why.

Our domain yggwyr.swansea.sch.uk is correctly referenced in DNS. The MX record for the domain points to the website whilst the A record for the mail points to our Local Education Authority's firewall.

They then pass the mail through their firewall to their mail servers which then relays the mail through to my mail server which is on the LEA internal network. However it doesn't.

I have published the mail server using the Wizard as SMTP and it is using the external card to listen on port 25. I am stumped what else to do bacause mail simply isn't coming through.

We installed ISA instead of a Linux box and it worked with the Linux box. Therefore I must be missing something simple.

Any ideas would be appreciated,

Many thanks

Gareth

Does your internal mail server have a default gateway that is pointing to the isa ?

Your MX record for the domain should point to the ISA server
