Hi, first of all thanks for your help. I have a domain controller running windows server 2003 and two member servers one for ISA 2004 and the second is Exchange 2003 server and each running windows 2003 server also I have a PIX. Now I follow the article ôConfiguring the ISA Firewall as an Inbound Filtering SMTP Relayö so I need some help here. There are two steps: create the Host (A) record and then create the MX record mapping to the Host (A) record.
In the IP address text box, enter the IP public IP address on the external interface of the ISA firewall that youÆre using in the Server Publishing Rule to publish the SMTP relay on the ISA firewall itself. So here in this point my question is this mean that I have to publish the Exchange server also on the ISA server? SMTP, POP3, and IMAP4 too???? If so I have to add also the public IP of the external interface of ISA server???
The second question is regarding to this point ôCreate the Server Publishing Rules on the ISA firewallö in the Server Publishing Rule name text box. In this example weÆll call is DNS Server and the IP address 10.0.0.2 which is in the example the internal IP of the exchange server but in my case it will be also my internal IP of my Exchange server or the IP of the Domain Controller which has the DNS???
The last thing is it a must if this is the first time to publish my exchange server to spend from 16 hours to 48 hours to let the other external domains to reply any e-mail to my domain in case they receive an email from my domain??? Thanks in advance.

Hi M,

Not sure what the problem is here. Is the PIX causing security problems?

Thanks!
Tom
