Hi Setup a server with W2K server with AD, DNS etc and Exchange 2000 installed . I know that this is not the best config to install all on one server. ISA is on a different server. Internet, smtp inbound/outbound works. I enabled as well internet access only to certain sites. I had to create a site and content rule to be able to send e-mail outbound and this is applied to the mail wizard rule (IP address) When this rule is disabled than the internet restriction works but as soon as I enable it everyone who logs onto the server has full internet access. This is because the site and content rule smtp outbound is configured for IP address. IS there any other way that I can let smtp outbound out. Thank you Heiko

Hi Heiko, Can you tell us what Site and Content rules you have configured on the machine? Also, how did you configure the SMTP site and content rule? Do you mean that you configured a SMTP Protocol Rule? Thanks! Tom ------------------ Tom Shinder http://www.isaserver.org/shinder/ Get It Here

Hi Tom This is the following config for the site and content rule: Internet Access Full control Internet Access Scheduled Internet Access Restricted Webpage SMTP outbound The SMTP out bound is configured to all destinations and applies to the Mail wizard rule. No, did not create a new smtp rule, using the default one. All work accept the Internet restriction to certain sites. Thank you Heiko

Hi Heiko, I guess I'm a little confused because you cannot create Site and Content rules for protocols. It might be that your restrictions apply to the same mail domain that you are wishing to apply to other protocols? Thanks!
