Our email just stopped sending and receving SMTP and when I looked at the ISA 2004 server with the SMTP service it had pretty much filled the badmail folder.

I restared the SMTP service on the Exchange machine behind the ISA and things started to go through.

I also renamed the badmail folder and it's taking hours to delete the old contents.

What is going on here??

Takes a long time to delete those files.

Make sure to schedule a deletion of those files on a regular basis.
