Hi

If your trying to send out mail you need an access rule. A publishing rule will allow other mail servers to connect to yours.  Try using telnet to test your connection form your mail server e.g. telnet gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com 25 for connections to gmail.

Your access rule will need to allow TCP port 25 out from you mail server.

Hope this helps
