Hello , first I wanted to say thanks for the help I recieved about "isa detected routes etc" but I couldnt find the thread to say thanks.
New problem is that since the isa 2004 wall was installed I have been getting mail delivery delays and not delivered that I never had before.
The smtp is a MAILSWEEPER server and has been happily chugging along for about 3 years, after much time with there support we seem to have tracked it down to dissconnects during the smtp negotiation when delivering mail, even with telnet to test this I can see sometimes the connection is just dropped with no answer.
Does anyone have any ideas where I should look in ISA to fix this, or what kind of query I could set up to find it myself ?
Do you want more info about my config, I can post that and screen shots if you want ?
thanks in advance
ps: I have ordered the book but have been waiting over a month from amazon, I have recieved the other 3 I ordered from mark minaisi but no isa2004 yet.

Hi Logan,
Thanks for getting the book!
Could it be a connection limits issue? Check the log files for this. Is the ISA firewall dropping the connection or the mail server?
Thanks! Tom

Hi again , first of all I received the book, but its lot of reading to go yet , is there a specific part that would explain to me how to increate the timeouts in ISA server, or explain how "check the logs" as you said I tried to creat" filter that ( i hope this is how I am supposed to make logs that are usefull to me )anyway , the filter was basically , ip address = the ip address of my server. I could then see things scrolling past the screen , like connection denied etc. What to do from here ? I can see this is a little bit vague , but hopefuly you will understand.
